2 cups of ricotta cheese
3 tbsp of condensed milk
1tbsp milk powder
½ tsp all purpose flour
3 to 4 tbsp of sugar

1. Mix all the ingredients together to form a paste like consistency and then transfer it into a thick-bottomed pan.
2. With mild heat keep stirring it all the time.
3. Remove from the heat when the mixture leaves the sides of the pan.
4. When it cools a little bit (warm enough to be held in hands) make small balls and decorate them with dry fruits.

ShowMeTheCurry note:

  3. Hello hetal and anuja ,

Your recipes are great . I am from Pakistan and I saw your recipes on Pakistani sites but I live in U.S.A . Many friends from Pakistan recommend your sites to other friends . My daughter she just got married and she loves your shows . Those kids born and raised in different countries other than Pakistan and India .They say your recipes are easy to understand and cook . Please give the recipe for petha halwa and pani puri . There is one lady samina jaleel from Pakistan .She used samander jhag to make pani puri . I do not know the english name of samundari jhag.

    1. Hi Shamima,

We’re so glad you and your daughter are finding SMTC useful. Samunder Jhag in English is yeast (some form of agent to make dough rise). Usually, baking soda (soda bicarb) or baking powder is used in making pani puri but I’ve never seen yeast being used. We are still in our research and development stage for the perfect pani puri recipe so hopefully, you’ll be patient. Thanks for writing.

      1. I so much agree with Shamima, your website is a blessing for people like us in US who are not creative cook but can still steal the show by following your recipes. Thank you Hetal and Anuja. I just now tried Jalebi and Peda for the first time and they turned out good.
