Cantaloupe Milk Shake

When Cantaloupe is in season, try this light and refreshing recipe for Cantaloupe Milk Shake. It’ll cool down even the hottest of summer days!

Cantaloupe – 1 cup
Milk – ½ cup (approx.)
Ice – 1 cup
Sugar – 1 Tbsp (to taste)
Elaichi Powder (Cardamom) – ¼ tsp


1. Fill one cup with Cantaloupe.
2. Pour Milk over Cantaloupe until cup is filled to the top.
3. Pour Milk and Cantaloupe into a blender.
4. Add Ice, Sugar and Elaichi Powder.
5. Blend until smooth and creamy.
6. Serve immediately.
7. Serves 2


For an extra creamy version, try adding a scoop of vanilla ice cream to the mix — Yummy!

  1. Melons and Milk should NEVER be mixed. It has a potential of causing serious issues not just of stomach but of skin too. Though it is good to mix food it is better some things Ayurveda or naturopathy teaches are followed.

    Pls don’t mind my intrusion i am big fan of blog and cook a lot of Indian food from it considering how cautious you guys of oil in food. Thanks!

    i jz wanted to know if u cud help me with a cake recipe,this particular cake is from Vienna’s in Mumbai (Santacruz vienna’s bakery) its a walnut cake with raisins in it,its a wine colour cake very tasty n very famous,packed in a transperent plastic wrap,i grew up eating this cake,now being in S.Africa miss it a lot,i will be really grateful if u help me get the recipe plz.
