This is a very interesting pic that was taken 9 years ago. I was in Houston at that time and Hetal was visiting us. Both of us had just had our first kids. Hetal is with my son (1 month) and I am with Hetal's daughter (2 months).

Description:We are Hetal and Anuja, neighbors and friends for over 17 years. We both have at least one thing in common -- our passion for food! We were both in the same frame of mind and similar points in our lives when we decided to start this venture. With our children finally going to full time school, we found ourselves with some free time and decided to turn our passion for food into a career. We started ShowMeTheCurry.com, a cooking video blog, about a year ago because we have first hand experience on how hard it can be for new cooks to attempt to cook Indian/South Asian cuisine. Besides our website development, we do everything by ourselves. This includes food preparation, camera/lighting/studio setup/teardown, filming, cooking, editing, blogging, answering questions, etc. We do the filming in our home kitchen. We treat ShowMeTheCurry.com as our full-time job and work full-time hours. We film on some days and edit on others, with all other administrative duties going on all the time. One benefit we have working at home is that we start when our kids go to school and stop when they come home. We are able to be there for our kids and families.

Last Year just before Thanksgiving my 12 year old daughter had an Immigration Day at her school, and all the kids were supposed to bring a dish of their choice. We decided to make Pedas. The only thing we did different was we shaped them into very tiny pedas.We made 125 pedas from the same recipe that is posted on the website,so one can imagine the size. We also decorates them with rasins. It was a instant hit amongst those 6th graders. Seeing those pedas dissappear made my daughter very happy and yes she also earned 100 points towards her project.
