    thnx a lot for the prompt reply - i hav been having internet issues so cudnt get on till right now:P

     

    tho i did try out the cake today (before checking this!!) and i did use hersheys choc syrup but i think i put in more cornstarch coz after refrigerating - it was too thick n dry....

     

    the other thing is - even tho i used choc syrup - the color of the sauce was very milky - like a light brown - not a dark saucy type......wat shud i u???

    Hey,

    I am really tempted to try out the chocolate biscuit cake thats on the website (SMTC) but I cant seem to find chocolate powder newhere. I already have cocoa powder - but i was wondering wat substitutes can be used for the chocolate powder? Choc chips?

     

    Please do help me so i can make it sooon...cant wait;)

    Here in UK all major store keeps Plain flour and self raising flour but not the all purpose flour!!

    I bought Self raising flour for making cake as it written in packaging that its ideal for cakes!!  and i wanted to try your eggless dates and walnut cake but in your video u suggested all purpose flour!!

    So is this self raising flour be used instead of all purpose flour!!

    i need bit more guide on this!!

    I made the mango version of the cake and it was not as fluffy as the chocolate cake but it was heavy or soggy...I will make it again and see where the problem could have been. Give me a few days...

    I tried the variation of Eggless chocolate cake you mentioned by replacing Unsweetened chocolate powder and vanilla essence with 10 tbsps of Durbar's sweetened Mango pulp, but the cake was not at all fluffy. I used the hand whisk to beat it. I gave many strokes, till the mixture was smooth without lumps.. (Rest of the ingredients were the same)
