• Milk Powder Milk Powder

    Hi

    I am thinking about making some Guleb Jamun and Peda for my husbands birthday on Thursday but have a question about the Milk Powder.

    I our local Indian shops they sell a sweetened milk powder for making sweets with (we bought it by mistake once and I cannot remember the name of it) and am wondering when Milk Powder is used in the above recipes does it mean the sweetened one or the every day skimmed milk powder from the likes of Tesco?

    Will be greateful for any help before I go

    thanks! raita turned out good, but it was a little heavy, maybe a bit too, uh, yogurty if you know what I mean. I demand watery raita!

    (my wife Kyla is reading this over my shoulder and is insisting that I tell you that she thinks the raita was perfect. we are trying to find a way to make our marriage work in spite of our irreconcilable differences in raita-consistency- preference.)

    So over the long weekend, my husband surprised me and whisked me off to Puerto Vallarta...well, the occasions were my birthday and our anniversary (combined gift). My wonderful friends took care of the kids and it was just Ram and I off to Puerto Vallarta.

    It was a great, relaxing and a very 'meaningful' vacation, Ram and I were actually able to talk without interruptions and were able to complete our sentences! We have not done that for a long time and it just felt funny but then we got used to it and enjoyed it thoroughly!
